Sugar & Salt Gourmet Market Now Hosting Weekly Bread Sales and Wine Tastings

By Katherine Verano in Community, Dining, Events, Marina, Shopping, St. Kitts

In just three short weeks, Sugar & Salt, Christophe Harbour’s neighborhood market, has grown in popularity and many items, including wine and spirits, are flying off the shelves. From the fresh fish and meats to the Tartuflanghe truffle pasta and Maldon sea salt, people can’t seem to get enough of Sugar & Salt Gourmet Market in the Christophe Harbour Marina Village.

Weekly Bread Sales

Sugar & Salt is now selling fresh, artisanal breads every Friday from 10:00 am. All breads are made in-house under the supervision of Christophe Harbour’s internationally trained pastry chef, Miguel Somoza. The selection changes weekly, but includes soft milk butter rolls, poppy seed pain de champagne, and roast vegetable and oregano focaccia. The star of the show is Miguel’s famous banana bread made with extra virgin olive oil. Come early for the best choice as the breads sell out very quickly.

Weekly Wine Tastings

The extensive wine selection at Sugar & Salt has also proven very popular with residents, guests and yachties alike. In addition to weekly bread sales, Sugar & Salt will also host weekly wine tastings every.  For a nominal tasting fee, visitors and guests of Christophe Harbour can taste test some of the our favorite wines every Friday starting April 6 from 4-5 PM. Selections will change weekly, so come often to whet your whistle and take a bottle or two home for dinner!

Sugar & Salt Gourmet Market is open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm in the Christophe Harbour Marina Village.  For special orders or questions, please contact Store Manager Darren Lee at +1 869.767.0691 or [email protected].
