The St Kitts Music Festival returns

By Angie Owen in Community, Events, St. Kitts

It is once again time for the St Kitts Music Festival to ignite a crowd of residents and travelers with its unique blend of music and culture. Renowned for its diversity, exciting music and lively performances, this celebration is led by local volunteers who are eager to support their community. This year, the Kittitian musical shindig takes place June 27-29 at Basseterre's Warner Park and promises music-lovers an unmissable event.

The line-up features over 20 artists, with the first two days centring on soca and reggae beats and the final day ending big with incredible acts like dancehall smash Buju Banton and the legendary Smokey Robinson. With artists including local legends like Infamus, Small Axe Band, and Nu Vybes as well as global artists such as Charly Black, Edwin Yearwood and Krosfyah, Omari Banks and more, the St Kitts Music Festival is nothing but diverse; a hub of energy and talent. Past performers have included world-renowned artists such as UB40’s Ali Campbell, John Legend, Fantasia, Shaggy, Sean Paul and Gyptian; from R&B, jazz and hip-hop to reggae, and gospel there is always something for everyone. The festival attracts visitors from all over the region and the world, giving local tourism an important boost during this quieter season.
