At the height of the Caribbean season, Christophe Harbour recently celebrated another milestone in its steady development on 2,500 acres at the southeast peninsula of St. Kitts. A crowd of media, government officials, local contractors, builders, and the homeowners’ families gathered at Sandy Bank Bay on Thursday, March 19 to break ground on the first home at Christophe Harbour. The honorable Prime Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas and David DiRienzo, President of RAZO Inc. Construction turned the first shovels of soil at 3 Silver Moon Lane, where the home will soon take shape. RAZO Inc., a construction firm from Canada, will be using local sub-contractors in landscaping, architecture, and other fields. The home is expected to be completed by Christmas 2009.  The St. Kitts & Nevis Prime Minister praised Christophe Harbour Development Company for its continued commitment to the project, indicating that the start of the first home is a sign of strong buyer confidence in Christophe Harbour and St. Kitts & Nevis. Three Silver Moon Lane is also the first home at Sandy Bank Bay, Christophe Harbour's debut property offering which has seen a tremendous response with nearly 40 Founder homesite sales totaling more than $35 million to-date. Several other homeowners have home designs in review with the Christophe Harbour Architectural Review Board, and construction is expected to begin on those sites very soon. In addition, designs of the Sandy Bank Bay Beach Club are nearing completion, and construction should begin early this summer. The Tom Fazio golf course broke ground in November 2008.
