Pogson Medical Centre Receives Medical Equipment from the Christophe Harbour Foundation

The Pogson Medical Centre in Sandy Point received several pieces of medical equipment and supplies from the Christophe Harbour Foundation.

The supplies were presented during a brief handover ceremony to the Deputy Prime Minister Shawn Richards, who officially handed them over to Minister of Health Senator Wendy Phipps.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Shawn Richard; Senator Wendy Phipps, minister with responsibility for health; Mrs. Tammy Darby representing the Christophe Harbour Foundation; Matron Sonia Daly-Finlay; Operations Manager Gail Cranston and personnel from the medical center.

It started with a jog in London’s Green Park.

As development of the superyacht marina ramped up, the docks were open and boats were arriving, Christophe Harbour Founder and CEO Buddy Darby recognized a need for a small food and beverage installation to service visiting yachts, locals, and guests.

“I was in London and went out for a morning run in Green Park,” said Darby. “I passed by this great kiosk in the park where people were hanging around drinking espresso, enjoying pastries and the morning paper and I thought – that’s it!”

2nd Annual Caribbean CrewFest a Success

The 2nd Annual Caribbean CrewFest is a wrap, and by all accounts it was an overwhelming success. In partnership with ACREW, the yachting industry’s leading professional development organization, Christophe Harbour welcomed 12 superyachts and some 120 crew members to its marina for some fun and learning post-holiday charter season. 

 Director of Yachting Aeneas Hollins leads a workshop on state-of-the-art fueling for superyachts.

 

Held January 11 – 14th, the program was packed full with two days of professional development including a crew leadership forum, mixology masterclass, drone safety and handling, watersports safety and instruction, and situational awareness and other highlights including the Crewfest Games and excursions throughout St. Kitts and Nevis.
