Yoga at The Beach House to benefit Hospitalized Children

More than 80 yogis from across St. Kitts gathered at the Beach House on November 24th for a morning of yoga practice to raise money and help provide comfort to hospitalized children.

From 6:00 a.m. until noon, The Beach House was transformed into an outdoor seaside studio and a variety of teachers led the group through a journey focused on mind, body, and soul. The event concluded with lunch provided by Chef Damien Heaney, with special vegan and gluten-free offerings.

The proceeds from the event benefit Ross University’s Josh and Friends Project, which will enable this organization to continue to give back to the children of St. Kitts who are hospitalized in the pediatric ward of the Joseph N....

Donation Ceremony Introduces Newest Member of St. Kitts Police Force

The Coalition of Support for St. Kitts-Nevis Security Initiatives (CSSKNSI) held a donation ceremony on Wednesday at the Independence Square in support of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force to hand over a German shepherd to the police K-9 Unit. In addition, the ceremony provided an opportunity to share the importance of proper animal care to the general public. The St. Kitts Music Festival is an explosion of Caribbean musical culture. Major international stars bring reggae, soca, calypso, gospel, R&B, and more to Basseterre's Warner Park Sporting Complex from Thursday, June 28 to Saturday, June 30.

Six-time Grammy Award winner Toni Braxton will headline the upcoming Festival. Following a grant from the Christophe Harbour Foundation, Dr. Stewart and her team have worked diligently to educate our beach cleaning crews and landscape staff on the habits and habitats of the island’s sea turtles. Christophe Harbour Foundation Celebrates Four Years of Giving Back

Established in 2008, The Christophe Harbour Foundation is a charitable organization intent on funding community outreach projects in St. Kitts and Nevis. Designed to strengthen the social, physical, cultural and natural environment, the Foundation supports conservational, educational, recreational, cultural, historical and social development projects that enhance the natural environment and lives of the people.

In the last four years, the non-profit initiative has donated nearly $200,000 USD to a variety of organizations and events throughout the Federation, including Special Olympics St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Christopher Children’s Home, St. Kitts Heritage Society, National Trust, Advancement of Children Foundation, St. Kitts Sea Turtle Monitoring Network, and more.
