St. Kitts Leatherback Sea Turtle makes its way to Massachusetts

A leatherback turtle from St.Kitts found earlier this month off the coast of Massachusetts in the North Atlantic Ocean. The turtle, named Kitty, was originally tagged in St. Kitts by the The St. Kitts Sea Turtle Monitoring Network (SKSTMN). Exciting news for Dr. Kimberly Stewart and her team at SKSTMN. Kitty's movements can be tracked online.

A native of St. Kitts, Shanda has stepped into the role with long-standing community relationships. Her intimate knowledge of The Federation will aid her greatly in organizing each aspect of a Christophe Harbour member or guest's visit. Her familiarity with the area will benefit Shanda in creating distinctive itineraries for adventures and activities across St. Kitts and Nevis. Legendary Beginnings:  How St. Kitts got (or didn’t get) its name.

While several theories on the origin of St. Kitts name are still debated 519 years after Christopher Columbus first spotted the island, one slightly fanciful premise lends the moniker the most color.

Legend has it that, in 1493, when Columbus sailed past the island for the first time, he found its distinct shape intriguing. Much as one might imagine a herd of elephants or a stately castle in a particular mass of clouds, the explorer conjured a recognizable figure in the island’s outline. To the active imagination of Columbus, it mimicked a silhouette of St. Christopher carrying the Christ child. So taken by the likeness, he christened the island St. Christopher. The St. Kitts Music Festival is Music to our Ears

The St. Kitts Music Festival is an explosion of Caribbean musical culture. Major international stars bring reggae, soca, calypso, gospel, R&B, and more to Basseterre's Warner Park Sporting Complex from Thursday, June 28 to Saturday, June 30.

Six-time Grammy Award winner Toni Braxton will headline the upcoming Festival. The lineup also includes Roberta Flack, Damian Marley, Courtney Pine, Omarion, Machel Montano, Morgan Heritage, Krosfyah, I-Octane, and Popcaan. Chairman of the Promotions Sub-Committee, Lester Ible says, “This promises to be one of the best Music Festival we have had in years...our activities reflect the energy of the Sweet 16 St. Kitts Music Festival.”

Christophe Harbour Steps It Up Globally

COO LeGrand Elebash and Sales Manager Thomas Liepman just arrived back on island after spending some time in Dubai and Russia promoting Christophe Harbour. In Dubai, Mr. Elebash met personally with prospects and investors that have been following the advancement of Christophe Harbour. These interactions paved the way for new contacts and strategic partnerships.

While in Russia, the team presented Christophe Harbour at a private wealth forum and at a private party in Moscow.  Participants continue to The island’s beauty, our product offering, and the Citizenship by Investment Program continue to draw significant interest. These events were not our first mark in Russia or Dubai, and we are pleased to see such an enthusiastic outcome once again.
