Architect John Denton Haley is at it again—and the craftsmanship levels are high. The design mastermind behind the Bungalows, Pavilion, and SALT Plage, Haley’s fourth major project for Christophe Harbour will be the centerpiece of the newly-completed superyacht marina.

Contemporary shops and residences will follow as the marina village grows, he explains, but the Customs House (a working title) will hold its own as classic and timeless—with the look and feel of a formidable shipping building or wharfside warehouse built long ago. At first sight of the design, Haley says many Kittitians often recall the circa-1894...

A warm welcome to Linda Pearson, who has joined the team as Dockmaster. Linda, a fully qualified large yacht captain herself, was formerly the First Officer aboard Andromeda La Dea and, as such, is no stranger to the Christophe Harbour team or St. Kitts. With marina construction headily underway, Linda will play a key role in operations, and her superyacht expereince will go a long way in creating a destination that is both welcoming and accommodating for the superyacht fleet. Marina construction is progressing nicely and still on track for a December 2014 delivery.

Port Zante, whose name derives from an ancient Greek myth, is home to 60 shops, purveying upscale goods, gold and silver jewelry, local souvenirs and crafts, and duty-free shopping.

Caribelle Batik. Using the traditional Indonesian method of treating fabric with wax to resist dye, the artisans of Caribelle Batik have been creating their apparel and tapestries for more than 30 years.  Visitors can watch the artists at work and learn the technique during hands-on demonstrations.
