Excavation of the Caribbean’s finest Superyacht Marina Continues

It’s a bird, It’s a Plane, It’s…… Amphibex.  We are all enjoying watching from the office windows as this excavator works its little heart out in the harbour. Not only does it operate in the water, it also has these super cool stabilizers and buckets that allow it to walk about on land too. Amphibex is making swift work of the remaining dredge area in the marina.

Despite its reputation as a lean, mean excavating machine, it's also quite gentle. The propeller can be raised if working in shallow waters to protect marine life and vegetation and also to avoid kicking up sediment on the seabed.

Waterlogged with the Superyachts at the Ft Lauderdale Boat Show

Despite being a bit waterlogged from Tropical Storm Sandy, we've had a tremendous first day here at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Most folks with whom we spoke today are keen on Christophe Harbour and happy to hear that the superyacht marina is expected to come online for next season, albeit with limited services. We're sensing a continued uptick in the superyacht industry, and it seems our timing just might be spot on.

The interest in our marina berths continues to be high, and we're happy to have sold 8 of the 11 available in this first phase. Dragage Caraibe will soon arrive in St. Kitts to complete the remaining excavation work in the entry channel and yacht basin, and...
