Making a Splash in St. Barths

In March, Christophe Harbour sponsored The Bucket Regatta, held in St. Barths. The regatta featured 35 super-yacht sailing ships. After the race, the ships were invited to sail over to Christophe Harbour’s Whitehouse Bay, which offers some of the finest anchorage in the Caribbean, for a visit to St. Kitts.

In 1995, the St. Barths Bucket started with a fleet of just 4 yachts. This year, The Bucket Regatta overflowed with applicants, hoping to fill one of 30 coveted super-yacht spots.  March 28 kicked off the much anticipated 3-day event.  The emphasis placed on having fun widely overshadows the competitiveness to win, which organizers believe to be the reason for such success each year. Beach House Restaurant

Reggae Beach Bar & Grill

Located on the southeast peninsula on Cockleshell Bay, this laid-back establishment specializes in seafood and barbeque dishes, with favorites such as fresh grilled fish, grilled lobster, coconut shrimp salad, honey mustard ribs, beef burgers, and exotic frozen tropical drinks.  Reggae Beach is also home to Wilbert, an affable 500-pound hog, who has the run of the beach (when he's not wallowing in the bay).  In addition to its delicious food and beloved porcine mascot, Reggae also has a beach volleyball court and offers snorkeling equipment and ocean kayak rentals.
