Range Developments Signs Agreement to Develop Park Hyatt St. Kitts at Christophe Harbour

An agreement was signed today among Range Developments, an affiliate of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, and Kiawah Partners to build and operate an ultra-luxury Park Hyatt hotel at Christophe Harbour.

The announcement was made during a press conference held today at Park Hyatt Dubai and attended by Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, Prime Minister of the Federation of St Kitts & Nevis; Ricky Skerritt, Minister of Tourism of St Kitts & Nevis; Pat McCudden, Senior Vice President, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts; Phil Keb, Executive Vice President, Kiawah Partners; and Range Developments’ Vice Chairman Mohammed Asaria and CEO Munaf Ali.

Christophe Harbour Development Update

With November’s grand opening of The Pavilion beach club, Christophe Harbour now has its social anchor. The magnificent beachfront structure, home to exquisite dining, lively activities, and top-tier service has already been featured in Maco Magazine. Paving was completed on the Cardinal Point road in February, marking the completion of the infrastructure in Sandy Bank Bay. Now, our primary focus can turn to the building of the superyacht marina. A 240-foot dock has been installed. This offers mooring capabilities for six superyachts greater than 150 feet in length.

Donation Ceremony Introduces Newest Member of St. Kitts Police Force

The Coalition of Support for St. Kitts-Nevis Security Initiatives (CSSKNSI) held a donation ceremony on Wednesday at the Independence Square in support of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force to hand over a German shepherd to the police K-9 Unit. In addition, the ceremony provided an opportunity to share the importance of proper animal care to the general public. While several theories on the origin of St. Kitts name are still debated 519 years after Christopher Columbus first spotted the island, one slightly fanciful premise lends the moniker the most color.

Legend has it that, in 1493, when Columbus sailed past the island for the first time, he found its distinct shape intriguing. Much as one might imagine a herd of elephants or a stately castle in a particular mass of clouds, the explorer conjured a recognizable figure in the island’s outline. The St. Kitts Music Festival is Music to our Ears

The St. Kitts Music Festival is an explosion of Caribbean musical culture. Major international stars bring reggae, soca, calypso, gospel, R&B, and more to Basseterre's Warner Park Sporting Complex from Thursday, June 28 to Saturday, June 30.

Six-time Grammy Award winner Toni Braxton will headline the upcoming Festival.
