Superyacht Traffic Grows 60% in St. Kitts and Nevis

The Marina at Christophe Harbour has enjoyed a successful start as its first season draws to a close.

St Kitts and Nevis has noted 134 yachts of more than 100 feet in the Federation’s waters, proving that this third point of the cruising triangle with Antigua and St Maarten is quickly establishing itself as a popular destination for superyachts frequenting the Caribbean. These numbers match the anticipated 20 percent year-over-year growth of the superyacht industry in St Kitts and Nevis, and its popularity is only set to grow as news spreads of its untouched cruising grounds and convenient distance from the many neighbouring Caribbean islands. Christophe Harbour and Pendennis host inaugural St. Kitts Rendezvous

The inaugural Pendennis St Kitts Rendezvous proved to be the perfect post-St Barths Bucket event for all involved, as The Marina at Christophe Harbour hosted seven boats for two days of relaxed fun in the new St Kitts superyacht marina.

Following the official opening of the Marina earlier this year, this event was the first of its kind to be held at Christophe Harbour. Marina Opens with a Bang

It was unquestionably one for the history books. Fireworks, Grammy-Award winning artists, and superyachts as far as the eye could see. The Marina at Christophe Harbour certainly opened with a bang.

Former front man for Hootie & the Blowfish and multi-platinum recording artist Darius Rucker headlined the evening with Caribbean artist Bankie Banks before a crowd of 1,500 people at the marina site. A fireworks show above the marina was the exclamation point to what was truly the most memorable night in Christophe Harbour’s history.
